Here's what Moms are saying about Working with Stacy

“I reached out to Stacy for a prenatal consultation and moments into our initial conversation, I knew that I had found our “person” in Stacy. Even over the phone, I could sense Stacy’s passion and warmth.

Of course I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to breastfeed, truthfully I didn’t even know if I wanted to, but speaking with Stacy inspired me to want to try my best-she made the breastfeeding journey sound meaningful.

I had an unusually difficult labor with Ayla (which resulted in me needing surgery 2 weeks later).
My milk finally came in on day 3 and I thought that Ayla was getting enough milk, but I felt insecure.
Stacy came to our home a few days after we got home from the hospital (with her positive energy, a smile, and a much needed hug after the whirlwind of labor and delivery). She suggested a few changes with our positioning, showed me how to treat engorgement, and taught me how to use my pump. All of these things combined can be overwhelming for a first time mom. But by the time we finished our in-person consult with Stacy, my husband, Ayla and I all breathed a collective sigh of relief! We were doing it! And at our first appointment with our pediatrician, Ayla had already exceeded her birth weight! To prepare for my surgery, I had to pump an unusual amount of milk so my husband could feed Ayla. Afterward I experienced overproduction.

Stacy has since helped us create a manageable pumping schedule in order to build a stash of milk, but not trigger overproduction. I credit Stacy with helping me trust my intuition when reading cues from Ayla. Us mamas know our babies better than we often give ourselves credit for. Sometimes we just need someone in our corner, who’s rooting for us, to gently guide us into becoming and recognizing the goddess women and mamas that already live inside of each of us! Thank you, Stacy!”

"Breastfeeding was the best and hardest thing I have ever done! Thanks to my support system I was able to nourish my firstborn for 18 months. My support system did not include traditional doctors or nurses, they actually were roadblocks for me. Stacy was such a huge part of my support system from the start with my first daughter. We worked through bleeding nipples, engorgement, and using the nipple shield.

When preparing for my second child I knew I wanted to breastfeed again and figured it would be easy since I breastfed my first for 18 months. I spoke with Stacy while I was still pregnant to let her know I will be needing her help once the baby comes and her advice on a pump.

When my second baby was born, she immediately latched and was gaining weight! Phew, what a relief, right? Well, my nipples were so sore! At first, I figured my nipples needed to adjust to breastfeeding again. I already scheduled a meeting with Stacy and thank goodness because by day 3, my nipples were bleeding.

Stacy did a full head-to-toe exam of my baby and found that her jaw was tight and she had some head movement limitation (likely related to the birth). Stacy worked with me on exercises to help with this, nipple care, and treatment for engorgement. After 3 weeks of working with Stacy, I was able to comfortably feed my baby and we have been doing great ever since! I am so grateful for the support and could not have gotten through the first few weeks of breastfeeding without her. Thanks, Stacy!"
